You have already heard many of them: good description, lots of photos, fixed shipping price rather than “buyer pays all shipping costs”, no ALL CAPS, one font, plain listing, and good titles based on number of bids, not prices.
- Start every auction for $1 (or less, if applicable).
- Never under any circumstances use a reserve price.
- Never under any circumstances mention what you think the item is worth in your auction.
- Charge enough on your shipping to pay all your fees.
- Avoid looking like an eBay “business” seller. If possible (and accurately), present your item as if it is something your family bought for their own use.
